A Giveaway from CSN Stores-Nordicware Platinum French Tartlette Pan

by Darina on May 16, 2010

As a preferred blogger for CSN Stores, I’m hosting a giveaway for this Nordicware Platinum French Tartlette Pan. CSN Stores is a group of 200+ online stores that feature everything from bathroom vanities to baby cribs. One of my favourite sites is Cookware.com,  one-stop shopping for every kitchen need you could possibly come up with.

I love hosting giveaways for items that I covet and this tartlette pan is no exception. No more fumbling around with a gazillion tartlette rings. With this handy pan you can make twelve lovely fluted tartlettes in one go. I’m inspired to get one myself for making my strawberry tartlets with lemon cream cheese this summer.

This giveaway is open to residents of Canada and the United States. Please tell me about your favorite tart or pie, whether savory or sweet.  The contest is open until midnight on Sunday, May 23, 2010.

My very favorite pies to make are my grandma’s hershey bar pie or quiches. I must have a zillion recipes for quiche, and love to make small individual ones. I usually make a big hershey bar pie, whenever I make it, but think it’d be awesome to make personal pies too, as desert for a dinner party!

The best pie I’ve made lately has been: http://foodblogga.blogspot.com/2008/07/peach-and-blueberry-galette-and-facing.html
It is amazing! And the best thing I’ve made in a tart pan lately has been: http://www.foodgal.com/2009/08/a-fuzzy-predicament/
It’s not exactly a tart or pie, but it’s delicious all the same. I usually make a lot of small (4 inch) tarts with the recipe.
I would love this tartlette pan! And I would love to try your recipe.

A quiche is technically a pie right? :)

I haven’t thought about it in years, but my favorite pie is a cheese pie that my mom used to make all the time as I was growing up. Although, i’m sure it’s a simple recipe, I don’t have it, but I do know it always included brocolli (her way to get it in a meal)

I have to admit, I am a basic pie lover. Pumpkin Pie or Blueberry Pie for me! Love them both!

This would make Christmas morning so much easier. I’d make 12 little vegetable quiches to take over to my daughter’s for Christmas morning brunch.

A pie made with freshly-picked saskatoons, baked on the BBQ because the summer day is so hot… fabulous. :)

Favorite pie/tart…..it would have to be a tie between butter tarts or lemon tarts. I’m not that into sweets, but I love lemon desserts probably because their tartness balances out the sweetness. I haven’t made tarts/pies since high school because I’m so afraid of screwing up the crust (which is also why I don’t have any pie plates/tart pans…..but one of these days…..I’m hoping to conquer this feat!

Great giveaway! One of my favorite pies is banana cream pie. Comforts restaurant in San Anselmo, CA makes an amazing one with chocolate lining the crust. I also really love my mom’s strawberry rhubarb pies and rustic galettes I do at home with whatever fresh fruit is available at the farmer’s markets.

I LOVE lemon. I love to make lemon tarts…shortbread crust, with a lemon curd filling. Delish! Sadly, I currently make them in mini muffin tins and would LOVE to win theses. Crossing my fingers!
